My baby outgrew her heirlooms yesterday!

I know this is nothing to a lot of people but I'm pretty terrible at raising alts so this is a milestone for me, haha. And there's no sign of burning out on her, I'm so excited about pushing her to 85 so I can SOLO FUCKING EVERYTHING.

I already got her started on the BC mount bosses, but I want to be able to steamroll everything with ease. Everything.

Prot paladins are fun as shit. B)

Best hood ornament.

So lately in the lull between expansions I've been leveling a paladin. She's 42 now, making steady progress between tedious homework assignments and dubious hours (I need another job). I've been leveling her strictly through dungeons, as a tank.

This shouldn't be too surprising. The queues are literally instant, as soon as I hit the button I get in a dungeon. And tanking is fun! What is surprising is the fact that at least once a night I have groups complimenting my tanking, often requeueing with me because my tanking is just that good.

Here's the thing: I've never tanked on a paladin before. My tanking experience is limited to a druid I no longer play, and I never felt really confident with him. I honestly have no true grasp on what I'm doing, I'm just emulating what I see other good tanks do and spam aoe attacks and hit buttons as they're off cooldown. I know nothing of threat rotations or anything like that, I'm just hitting buttons and pulling large packs of mobs down on my head.

But people think this is awesome. o_o; I'm here wondering if I actually have any skill as a tank, or if leveling melee classes that queue as tanks are really just that terrible that someone who normally plays a caster can outdo them.

e: Eastern Kingdoms done in the same day, was a total joke compared to Kalimdor... didn't even touch STV or Burning Steppes or Searing Gorge. :X

I have today (Friday) off so time to burn through Outland!

I now have all the protodrakes, all of them. Except the Naxx ones, obviously, but I don't see them ever being put back into the game so they don't really count. >.>
